Privacy Policy

1. Our approach

LOOKIX has no user accounts. You don't register, you don't give us your name, your email or a password, and we don't build a profile of you.

Your selfie is used for one thing only: to generate the hairstyle simulations you ask for. We do not run facial recognition, we do not create a biometric template of your face, and we never try to identify the person in the photo.

2. Face data

The only face data LOOKIX handles is the photograph you choose to send us. We do not create a biometric template of your face: no faceprint, no face geometry, no face signature, no mathematical representation of your features of any kind. We do not use face recognition, and we never try to identify, recognise or verify who you are — with no accounts and no names, we could not do so even if we wanted to.

Your photo is used for exactly two things: an automated quality check (that there is a single face, that your hair is visible and not covered, and that it is not a photo of a screen) and the generation of the hairstyle you requested on your own image. Nothing else. It is never used for advertising, profiling, analytics or model training.

To generate the hairstyle, your photo is sent to our AI image-generation provider, which acts on our instructions and does not use your image to train its models. It is not shared with anyone else, it is never sold and it is never published. It is stored on our own servers in the European Union — no third-party storage service holds it.

Your original photo is deleted automatically within 24 hours at most. Generated results are deleted 24 hours after you download them, and within 48 hours in any case if you never do. You can also delete everything associated with your device at any time from Settings.

3. What we process

The photo you provide: your selfie is sent to our servers and to our image-generation provider only to produce the hairstyle result you requested. It is treated as a temporary working file, not as something we keep or analyse for any other purpose.

An anonymous device key: a random identifier generated on your device the first time you open the app. It is not your Apple ID, your phone number or your device serial. It exists so the looks you buy are linked to something, and it is the only reason your balance survives.

Purchase records: which pack of looks you bought and when, as reported by the App Store. We never receive your card details.

Basic technical logs of the web server (IP address, date, requested page), kept for security and to detect abuse.

4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

To provide the service you asked for — generating hairstyle simulations from your selfie — which is the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

To keep track of the looks you have purchased and prevent them being spent twice, also contractual performance.

To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

To comply with our tax and accounting obligations regarding purchases (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

5. Who else sees this data

Our AI image-generation provider: receives your selfie in order to produce the requested hairstyle result. This is unavoidable — it is the generation itself. The image is used to create your result and is not used to identify you.

Apple Inc.: processes your purchase and tells us that it happened so we can add your looks. Apple never gives us your payment details.

Our hosting provider (European Union), which operates the servers where the service runs.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and there are no third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app or on this website.

6. How long we keep it

Your original selfie: kept for up to 24 hours so you can retry or refine a look, then deleted.

Temporary working files created during generation: deleted within 24 hours.

Your generated results: deleted 24 hours after you download them.

You can delete everything associated with your device at any time from the app's Settings.

Device key and purchase records: kept for as long as your balance of looks may be used, and afterwards for the period required by tax law. Web server logs: up to 12 months. The history you see inside the app is stored on your own device.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, and to data portability, by writing to privacy@lookix.app.

An honest limitation: because there is no account, we usually cannot link stored data to you as a person. If you send us your device key (Settings, at the bottom of the screen) we can act on the data associated with it. In practice you can also delete your data directly from Settings at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority of your country.

8. Children

LOOKIX is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process their data.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
